Eye Examinations

People who enjoy excellent vision often wonder whether they really need to schedule an eye exam. But an eye exam is just as much about checking the health of your eyes as it is about evaluating how well you can see.

So many of you who come to us for an eye examination said they felt hurried and rushed at other opticians. At many opticians’ practices, someone who isn’t an optometrist may run many of the tests before handing you over to the optometrist. At Realeyes, the whole eye examination, from beginning to end, is calmly carried out by our highly qualified optometrists, leaving you in safe hands.

The eye examination checks how well you can see and also the health of your eyes, picking up any eye related issues, sometime even before you have any symptoms.

Examinations to Check the Health of your Eyes

We’re obsessed with ensuring your eyes stay healthy. An eye examination is the only time your optometrist gets to conduct an in-depth eye examination, check your eyes in detail, and ensure they are healthy.

At Realeyes, during your eye examination, our optometrist will check your eyes and detect early signs of eye conditions such as glaucoma, infections and cataracts, as well as underlying health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, autoimmune disorders, high cholesterol and certain cancers.

The more thorough your eye exam, the more you can depend on the results. The more regularly you have an eye exam, the more likely that any potential conditions can be picked up and detected early and treated which means real peace of mind.

We’ve invested heavily in eye scanning equipment that can see deeper into your eyes. Alongside your routine eye examination we can offer you the following extra non-invasive eye scans to look deeper into your eyes:

OCT 3D Eye Scancombining the technologies of a CT and ultrasound scan, this eye scan produces a 3D scan of the back of your eye.  Learn more here.
